The role includes:
Ensuring all tasks allocated meet milestones, achieves objectives and is managed within the high volume work environment and demands resulting from tight timeframes and competing priorities.
Managing relationships and expectations with both internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding the breadth and subtleties of Project activities and environment.
Working cooperatively and proactively with organisations interfacing with the Project and building solid working relationships and partnerships.
Operating with autonomy in respect to balancing work priorities within agreed work plan and being fully accountable for the quality, accuracy and integrity of the content of advice and deliverables provided.
Key Accountabilities include:
Strategic Advice – Provide advice on commercial matters, and in relation to contract negotiations. Providing assurance relative to the project tender/variation documentation and contribute to the evaluation of tenders or contractual variations.
Contract Management – Monitor and ensure contractor compliance with the relevant project deeds. Assist in the review of variations under the deed and undertake commercial analysis. Manage and escalate contract issues or disputes to the Project Commercial Lead.
Contractual Negotiation and drafting - contribute to negotiations and drafting of contractual arrangements with third parties associated with the Project with supervision of the Commercial Lead and external counsel when required.
Stakeholder Management – Build and sustain relationships with a network of key internal and external stakeholders working as a team toward mutually beneficial outcomes. Represent the client at meetings with contractors, finance institutions, credit card schemes, independent certifier, internal governance bodies and other parties as required.
